Tom’s business experience includes over 19 years in sales followed by senior management positions for major nationals and more than10 successful years in his own retail businesses. Tom’s early business acumen served him well following the sale of his business and allowed him to turn his experience and knowledge into a successful career in wholesale distribution in sales management in the consumer electronics industry.

Tom received his post-graduate executive diploma from the Department of Commerce, in Sales and Marketing Management from the University of British Columbia. This education coupled with his business background soon secured a rewarding position as a Business Development Manager for many years with TELUS Mobility. Tom’s many accomplishments during this time included establishing over 65 independent distribution centres across the interior of British Columbia. The implementation of his marketing and sales strategies resulted in the ongoing successful growth and profitability for these locations.

In addition to providing marketing strategies for his own clients, Tom also offers business development and mentoring assistance to many of the first time business clients for the Kelowna branch of Community Futures Development Corporation.

Tom believes in giving back to his community. He volunteered his time and marketing skills to orchestrate the construction of a 6000 seat covered grandstand in Williams Lake. Completed on time and on budget, the grandstand became the focal point for the continued success of the annual Williams Lake Stampede. As vice-president of the Williams Lake Stampede Association, Tom’s contribution in the association helped the stampede grow and prosper to become the second largest rodeo event in BC.

Tom’s strong team values served him well as he also contributed his time as a volunteer fire fighter and bantam football coach. In addition, Tom is a past president of the Kiwanis club in Williams Lake and for many years continued to serve the community as an active member.
Once a year, Tom also dons his volunteer hat to assist with the Maxine DeHart Drive Thru Breakfast fundraiser for Kelowna branch of The United Way held each year in September.

Now a long time Okanagan resident living in Kelowna, Tom recognized that small business entrepreneurs are one of the fastest growing segments of the Okanagan economy. With its natural beauty, community involvement and access to major markets, the Okanagan is a place where new businesses can succeed. Being an entrepreneur himself, Tom fully understands the unique challenges faced by small business during the start up and into the first few years of development.

Tom has the knowledge and experience to identify target markets, create advertising and media campaigns and develop marketing plans that capture your prospects attention and deliver results. His ability to think beyond today and visualize long term strategies for your company is integral to your growing business.

Whenever called upon, Tom will make himself available to assist with your company’s goals and ambitions with strategic planning and the implementation of marketing programs that will be engineered to get you On Track and keep you On Track.
